Buildings are an instrumental band from Washington, DC. Band members Collin Crowe (guitars), David Rjich (drums), and Nick McCarthy (bass) create music that can be loosely tagged post-rock. But the band's live show incorporates film collage and plenty of shred. The band's debut LP, Endless, was released on Sockets Records in the summer of 2009. The band's new LP, Everything In Parallel, was recorded in 2011 by Devin Ocampo and will be released on Sockets Records on January 28, 2012.

Buildings (aka bldgs) is not even a year old and is already one of the most interesting bands in DC. The two-guitar/bass/drums axis is in play, but it isn't typical post-whatever clone lamery. The group has whipped together a stimulating and heady mélange of coruscating hyper-nowism.
